- As a boy, his father was very violant to both him & his mother
- Hitler had to repeat 6th grade, apparently, to rebel agenst his father

- Even when Adolf's father, Alios, died (on Jan. 3, 1903), his grades didn't improve, so he droped out of high school with no diploma

- Hitler ran out of money in 1909, and in 1910, went to a House for Poor Working Men
- Hitler joined an anti-Semite group, which had a large jewish comunity
- Hitler claims in Mein Kampf that his transition from opposing antisemitism on religious grounds to supporting it on racial grounds came from having seen an Orthodox Jew:
"There were very few Jews in Linz. In the course of centuries the Jews who lived there had become Europeanized in external appearance and were so much like other human beings that I even looked upon them as Germans. The reason why I did not then perceive the absurdity of such an illusion was that the only external mark which I recognized as distinguishing them from us was the practice of their strange religion. As I thought that they were persecuted on account of their faith my aversion to hearing remarks against them grew almost into a feeling of abhorrence. I did not in the least suspect that there could be such a thing as a systematic antisemitism. Once, when passing through the inner City, I suddenly encountered a phenomenon in a long caftan and aring black side-locks. My first thought was: Is this a Jew? They certainly did not have this appearance in Linz. I carefully watched the man stealthily and cautiously but the longer I gazed at the strange countenance and examined it feature by feature, the more the question shaped itself in my brain Is this a German?"
- Even if this was true, he still got dinner from nobel jewish people, and they even offered to sell his paintings
- Hitler served in France and Belgium in the 16th Bavarian Reserve Regiment, and ended the war as a german
- Hitler's job was a runner, and he served in many major battles
- Hitler was twice decorated for bravery. He received the Iron Cross, Second Class, in 1914 and Iron Cross, First Class, in 1918, an honour rarely given to a Gefreiter (runner).
- In July, 1919, Hitler and some soldiers formed a small party called the German's Worker Party (DAP), which apposed of Jews
- Hitler was discharged from the army in March 1920 and with his former superiors' continued encouragement began participating full time in the party's activitie
- To increase the party's appeal, the party changed its name to the National Socialist German Workers Party
- Hitler dischared from the army (March 1920)
- Hitler became better at speeking in large crowds in early 1921, in fact, he spoke to a crowd of over 6,000 people in Febuary of that year
- The DAP thought Hitler was overpowering them, but if they tried to kick him out, the party would end, so they made Hitler their leader
- The party of the DAP eventually backed down. When it went to a vote, Hitler won 543 to 1 votes
- Hitler and some of his followers meet at a beer hall with berlin government officals in and demanded that they make a new government, at gunpoint, he denied, escaping as fast as he could
- The next day, hitler led a march in berlin, 16 of his men were shot, and Hitler was arrested
